How to identify it
The yellow tab identifies Size 10. It is the smallest of the four standard sizes at 5.8 mm in diameter — noticeably smaller than Size 312 (7.9 mm) when placed side by side. The size "10A" or "PR536" may be printed on the face.
Runtime management
At ~90 mAh, Size 10 batteries deplete faster than other hearing aid sizes. Users of IIC/CIC aids should plan on replacing batteries every 3–5 days with typical use. Higher-power features like Bluetooth streaming drain Size 10 significantly faster — sometimes within 2 days.
Activation
Peel the yellow tab and wait 60 seconds before inserting. The rest period is proportionally more important for Size 10 since its smaller capacity means any efficiency loss is more noticeable.
